Bill Jenkins
for Timnath
Town Council
It will take a new kind of leadership to realize the future set forth in Timnath’s Comprehensive Plan. As an engaged member of the Timnath community and a former business leader, I have the skills and aptitude necessary to preserve and protect what makes Timnath special and to leverage those same assets for the good of all. It’s a vision worth fighting for, and that’s why I am asking for your vote in the April 2 election.
Your Priorities Are My Priorities
1. Improving public input processes to ensure all perspectives are heard and respected.
2. Building trust and integrity by improving the town’s business and contracting processes.
3. Championing thoughtful economic development that adds to rather than subtracts from Timnath’s distinctive character.
4. Protecting our high quality of life by improving public safety and transportation options.
5. Creating recreational opportunities while caring for our natural environment

My Commitments to You
1. I will act with:
Urgency – I will move swiftly to ensure Timnath’s future remains in the hands of its residents. Time is ticking, and Timnath’s future is being defined everyday by outside entities.
Integrity – I will be principled in my decision making, forthright in my communication, and honorable in my actions. I will challenge questionable processes, decisions, and deal-making whenever and wherever I see them.
Inclusivity – I will fight to replace disingenuous public input processes and preordained decisions with legitimate public input processes designed to inform staff recommendations and council decisions.
Transparency – I will model a more open and transparent government so you—the people of Timnath—can be informed, engaged, and hold your government accountable.
Humility – I will act in service to the people of Timnath, knowing we can achieve our shared objectives only by working together.
2. I will expect and empower town staff to think freely and creatively and lead within their areas of expertise and scopes of authority.
3. I will work toward a United Timnath with a strong civic infrastructure, vibrant businesses, abundant social and cultural resources, and effective leadership.
My Governing Philosophy
In recent years I have had countless conversations with residents from across our neighborhoods, and I understand what you—what we—want. We want to be heard. We want to be respected. We want our interests prioritized over outside corporate interests.
With your support, I will proactively connect with community members in ways our current government does not. I will unite, not divide. I will seek public input, not prevent it. I will find solutions, not make excuses. And as an independently elected member of town council, I will encourage diverse points of view and have the courage to dissent when appropriate.
When crises occur, I have the skills to help manage them. When conflicts occur, I have the abilities to resolve them. When inspired thinking is needed, I will bring it. I also have the expertise necessary to analyze and oversee Timnath’s complex, multi-million-dollar budgets, expenses, and revenue streams.
